Bay Harbor Islands (Florida, USA): A law for banning the sale of live animals

In Bay Harbor Islands, a new approved ordinance will prohinit the sale of any pet animals in the town. The goal of this ordinance, is to increase the adoption of dogs in the overcrowded petshops. There is currently no petshops selling animals in Bay Harbor Islands, and the ordinance wants to prevent the opening of some. Petshops will be allowed to sell only animals' accessories and food. This ordinance also aims to prevent any breeding defect or development of puppy mills.
