Animal Welfare Intergroup gathered on July 6th , to discuss the end of cosmetics testing and the current dynamics in 3Rs science and policy worldwide.
Cruelty Free International and The Body Shop have decided to jointly end this practice.

Nearly five months after banning cosmetic animal testing within the country, India has now also imposed a ban on importing such products that test on animals and thus become the first country in south Asia to do so.

Up from Monday, the animal tests requirements for several daily cosmetic products will not be mandatory anymore. This came out from a decision of the China Food and Drug Administration.

As of 11 March 2013, the import and sale of animal-tested cosmetic products and ingredients within the EU has finally been banned, with no exceptions. The long-awaited and overdue ban marks a huge victory for laboratory animals and those who have been campaigning tirelessly on their behalf for many years.
