An animal welfare police in Norway

On Monday, the Norvegian government has announced the creation of an animal welfare police. Currently, the "animal rights cops" team is composed only of 3 persons: a lawyer, an investigator and a coordinator. This is a 3-year try, and if the experiment is successful, it might be reconducted with more people.

The goal of this police is to take more in consideration animal offences, to be able to prevent that later the animal abusers committs crimes on humans.
